Ladies Auxiliary & Fundraising
The Ladies Auxiliary is a committee that is involved in fundraising for the benefit of Covenant Christian School. We raise funds that are necessary for "extra" items not covered in the school's general operating budget. In this way, we hope to ease the workload of the School Board, as they do not have to concern themselves with fundraising efforts. The Ladies Auxiliary also hosts various events designed to promote school spirit, and social opportunities for the society as a whole. We fund 1/2 of all class trips during the school year. Recently we were able to purchase a Power Point projector, and a new laptop for the benefit of the school. We also purchased various phys ed and special education resources. Any items purchased by the Ladies Auxiliary are requested via a "Wish List" that is approved by the Board.
Our biggest and most successful fundraiser is the CCSVP (Covenant Christian School Voucher Program). This fundraiser involves selling gift cards at face value to various stores. Just by buying your regular groceries, you can help support our school. Grocery vouchers are our biggest seller, we carry all major grocery vouchers, as well as Canadian Tire, Home Depot, and many more.
We also host events such as Euchre Tournaments, Stampot Dinners, which are fundraisers, and throughout the school year, we host hot dog lunches, pizza lunches, soup days, etc. for the children at school. These provide a welcome break from sandwiches!
